Burrow™ is a local-first macOS storage management machine.

What it does

Burrow™ inventories personal storage on this Mac so you can answer what you have, where it lives, what is duplicated, and whether important data is actually protected. The Swift engine stays on loopback. The public website is documentation and a console shell — not remote filesystem access.

Safety Level 0 is in effect: inventory only. The product will not move, rename, delete, archive, or back up user files until a later, reviewed safety level.

Discover volumes and providers

Enumerate mounted volumes, iCloud Drive, and OneDrive. Discovery records identity and classification. It does not scan file contents and does not change sync state.

Inventory approved roots

After a root is approved, the engine catalogs paths, sizes, and metadata into a local SQLite catalog. The hosted site cannot see your Mac.

Classify storage

Internal, external, iCloud, and OneDrive are distinct. Synced is not backed up. Protection state is evidence, not a slogan.

Duplicates, backup, and archive later

Exact-duplicate detection, verified backup, and archive copy are specified. They are not shipped in this build. Safety Level 0 is inventory only: no move, delete, archive, or backup of user files.
